Facility
The search for a permanent home for Salle D'Armes Bosco took a long time. At first, leasing was an option. As you might expect, the best locations in the city were too expensive. The affordable places were in bad sections or in factory areas. These places were also run down. The choice was to either charge high fees (and only get affluent students) or move to a more rural area. We chose to move outside of the main city of Huntsville, Al. Our salle is located on a 1.6 acre wooded lot, in Toney, AL, across the street from farm land. We have just expanded our parking lot to 40 spaces to accommodate new students
Since this is a new facility, the accommodations will be changing and improving continuously. Right now we have the follow:

However, students that spend more time socializing than fencing will be strongly reminded. The socializing area has:
There is a nice cleared picnic area at the back of the salle. This nicely wooded area will be available for fencers to relax outside during the summer months and weekends. We have a load of uncut firewood so there are also plans for a fire pit. We have used this area for New Years Eve and Fourth of July fireworks and outdoor hot dogs and marshmallows.
